Yes, but would not recommend using it. Most dslr are not good with video AF.

It's on-demand, just like the K-3. It adjust the focus much more slowly during recording.

Actually already not the case, canon 80D has pretty good video AF

They have a different AF system then most dslr..more close to 4/3..I dont know how they do it..But Nikon, Pentax etc can't do the same..

it's dual pixel(PDAF on sensor...sort of thing)
so it can AF smoothly(with silent lens motor and firmware tune up) while mirror locked up in video mode
just my 2 cents!

To achieve decent AF with a Dslr lens you need phase detect AF (the ability to detect direction required to focus).

Afain all current Sony/toshiba sensor 3rd party implementations do not have hybrid AF capability therefore all Nikon/Pentax cannot focus quickly in Video mode as the sensor is CD only.

Sony use a translucent screen so do not need to remove the 'mirror' during live capture so PD is available in their dslr's and Canon have on chip hybrid AF.

The NX-1 is not a dslr it has CD optimised lens (and hybrid sensor) so is not related to this discussion.
