Yep, I get it.

I'll be K-01, K-3 and K-1 (come August). And a lot of film cameras.

Sounds like the only real cure might be for Pentax to release new D FA lenses faster

Precisely and specifically, who are all these people to whom you refer?
I don't want to finger point anyone, that's not my point. I just want to say that hopefully, the Pentax full frame success will be up to the level of teasing, discussions and arguing that happened before the release.

Feels to me like it will be a great success.

There has been an influx of negative posters - new members and people who jumped ship long ago and have come back to stir up the Forum - whose persistent trolling is having an effect. They're driving out the positive members.

As an example, the K-1 Manual thread has been hijacked by a guy who trolls on and on about video. Almost every thread devolves into a video troll argument. There's a new Precision Camera service thread by a new guy who isn't listening to the level-headed members explain about backordered parts; he insists he's entitled to a replacement K-50 because he has waited three weeks and the President of Ricoh Imaging NA hasn't responded to his emails.

It just isn't worth participating any more. Even I can't get incensed.

I looked at that FS post really hard, but by then I already had two or three of the lenses in your set.

I will sit and wait a while. I think there may be some lens surprises over the next few months. How about something compact with the FOV of the DA 15 on APS-C? Or something long and less expensive than the D FA 150-450? Some rejigged or resurrected primes? The Pentax FF universe is only just taking shape.

That is top of my wish list for a FF prime. A compact, FA limited style 20/4 would fit the bill. I know there are plenty
hoping for something faster, (and MUCH larger), like a 20/2.8 or 20/2, but for my money, I'll take the slower, portable
option.

The guy who has issues with getting his camera fixed has gone way beyond the 3 weeks you are talking about. Also he was told by Precision that the part was back ordered, then he contacted Ricoh US who told him they had the parts. He has a legitimate gripe. This really isn't a troll argument a least from my perspective. All he wants, is not to wait months for his camera to be fixed. If you just bought a camera and it broke would you be happy if told "sure we'll get it back to you in a few months due to parts backorders then find out from the manufacturer
there is no BO. I don't know about the video troll but you seem to use the term troll for anyone who is not totally PC. And as far as reaching the Pres of Ricoh he can't get past the first level of customer service. This does not seem like an unreasonable request to me. Most customer service reps will let you at least talk to their supervisor, but apparently not with Ricoh. Some people on this site are trolls in the opposite direction, meaning anything not totally positive or questioning is BAD.
