K-1 files: JPG and RAW

I used the K-1 at a event today. For those who are interested, i have made available two jpg's and two RAW files. These are straight out of camera and not touched in any way. So you can download, play with them and check them out.

Files can be downloaded at: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/u5kpv3v0o2h2wps/AABZlgkScXONIzjuoft-JrHAa?dl=0

Do NOT post files, claim them as your own or similar. This is for YOUR testing only!

Have fun!

Thanks for the samples. I'm liking what I'm seeing.

BTW for other Linux or Darktable users: Darktable plays with the K1 DNG file very nicely!

Your welcome! Just wanted people to see first hand, what they can expect from K-1. Not the best pics from the evening, but that was not the point either..hehe

That D FA 24-70mm looks like a sweet lens. The bokeh in the bar shot is superb.

Thanks for sharing And yep I already fell in love with it just using the combo in the park ^^

Would you maybe like to tell us the settings you use for concertphotography? It would be interesting for me to see what a Pro uses for settings with the K1, compared to the one I have used at my K5 and now transfered to the K1

That is so hard to tell. It just not changes every 10 seconds during a concert, but every band has different lights But 1/250, ISO3200 and F/2.8 are a good starting point.

Ah yea sorry I was kinda unclear- I meant more the settings in the menu of the K1, like the (for me as former K5 user) strange AF-settings that are avaiable now, or if you have any of the processing things active like NR at high ISO or things like this

I turn of everything in camera. No shadow adjustment, no NR etc. On AF, i always use a single point..moving around with my thumb..AF-C high..And fps has focus priority.

Thanks this helps - one last question : When you say, you use your thumb to move the AF-Point around, do you still use back-button-AF?
