I've found a few email addresses that seem to be a very fast channel to Mestos, the folks that make L brackets for the K5 and K5 with a grip.The ordering email address is mestos99@gmail.com, and I sometimes get email responses from kohtec@hanmail.net. I just ordered the PD-K5L (using the gmail address), and on a whim, asked them if they were considering an L bracket for the K1. I received a rather amusing reply:

"We have the ability to create an L-bracket for all cameras.
But the poor can not buy all the cameras.
If given the opportunity I will contact to create a product of the Pentax K-1.

I can't grasp why Pentax don't expand their accessories line to include L-brackets and other simple basics. Could make huge margins on this stuff with very little effort.

Amen to that - getting L Brackets and accessories is a hassle and sometimes leads to a dead end. They could rebrand Mestos and other products and make money and offer a more complete solution.
