I never saw the green fringing that I recall but it's possible I'm forgetting. I sold my A* 85 to fund my FA 77 and some other things - autofocus is nearly a must for me due to vision. And it was hard to part with. I had owned my copy for many many many years. My A* was a gift from a dying friend of my dad's and I have owned it since my Pentax PZ-1 days and it was mint mint mint despite that. I used it and enjoyed it but it has a new home now.

There is a good chance that we get the Tamron 1.8 85 at first, cause there is nothing in this range and next year a new D FA* 1.4 85 PENTAX made.
Same range like 2.8 70-200.
What we get for sure is a new D FA* 2.8 200.
A second fullframe camera, maybe lower type is not in progress.
New converter for the current and next teleline is also very possible.
Lots of glass is in development and currently in progress.
Best regards
You seem to be a valuable source. Thanks for your contributions.
Are the lenses coming in the order they appear on the roadmap? Photokina?

Any 135 f2 or wider aperture in the horizon? I like those 85 and 200 but at the (*) price, i hardly will be able to buy more than one.

Look,Pentax has the great 2.8 70-200 and the fine 150-450.
They have a great team for optics.
And every era is ending if the time comes.
Best regards

Pentax is lacking an affordable wide-angle solution and on FF a 28 is as wide as most users will ever need. While the FA 31 is an excellent lens, it is both expensive and bulky. Compare to the FA 28/2.8. Back in the day, the demand for 24mm was fairly small and the price was high. The combination explains the relative rarity of wider FF lenses on the used marketplace.

I just went from my FA 35 f2 to my FA 31 f1.8, the size and weight and bulk are rather easily noticed.

I'm still pretty happy with my “Sweetheart” (SMC Pentax-A* 85mm F1.4) on the K1.

I would expect a 28/2.8 just like in the old days.
For that very reason, I had to buy one recently to use with the K1, may I introduce my "Street Lady" (SMC Pentax-A 28mm F2.8) complete with an " Unholy Alliance".

Did you mean photos taken with or a photo taken of SMC Pentax-A* 85mm F1.4?

I could probably help out with that image.

I wouldn't mind a 24mm f2.8 (or even better a 20mm f2.8)
They are available as manual focus legacy glass.
