Pentax K1 Pixel-Shift: How fast an SD Card Do We Need?

As the title says, what level/speed SD card will make writing those large Pixel-Shift images to the card do we need, without overkill?

I believe @Adam reports the write speed of the K-1 to be not much more than 30MB/s. I would suggest using 95MB/s cards, they are fairly common, and not too expensive. I use Sandisk Extreme Pro 95MB/s ones.

Yup, the write speed caps out at around 32Mb/s. I'd still go for the fastest cards (Extreme Pro's are great) to speed up file transfers to your PC.

Pixel shift really doesn't lend itself to fast paced shooting. It takes about 2 second to execute a shot. I would think just about any card would be ok, it's just certain cards will be able to show you your image a second or two sooner.

I've had good luck with the Transcend SD card ( class 10). They are cheap & about as fast as the SanDisk.
