A big thanks again to Gimbal for the RT link.

My first file processed with RT.
It is certainly faster than PCDU and very powerful with so many options.
I also like how the sharpness seem more fine as opposed to being more 'stark' on PDCU.

Lots to try out though...

Baby steps with using Raw Therapee to process the pixel shift file.

Unfamiliar with what a lot of the options mean, so lots to learn and struggle on.
Still need to know how to make the colors match up to PDCU and how to correct the image for the distortion of the Samyang 14/2.8

But this is the first (perhaps only for now) processor to be able to adjust for the motion correction strength and it actually works better than the version I processed with PDCU in this respect.

There is a newer version (.1273 as of now) which is even better at motion correction, better coverage and less “false” detection. It’s VERY good now.

Nice picture by the way.

Wow Cool!

Thanks again for the information.

The software is also really fast wrt preview of the changes.
Much better than PDCU.

I need to watch more youtube videos on how to better use the software for sure.

Another try today cycling down to the CBD.

This time, processed with a newer build of RawTherapee64 4.2.1344 that supports beta version of pixel shift.
Even more refinements made to the pixel shift options.

I found that LR lens profiles can be used by the program, so used a Samyang 14/2.8 profile generously shared by someone on another forum.

I did (but I am a Mac user)... thank you.

I tried it yesterday and found it very accurate, truly a "RAW Swiss army knife". A very good alternative to Capture One/Lightroom... As I'd like to profit of LR profile lenses if so, how did you use LR lenses profiles with this program?

Thanks for the link, the link to the OSX version is not working on my end though.
Here is another link to the builds :

But as far as I see the OSX version of Rt doesnt include PS yet. I might give it a try anyway, just to see how this soft works compare to Lr.

Pinholecam you can use camera profiles (natural, bright, landscape etc.) from. Adobe software if you want settings similar to sooc or pcdu to base further tweaks on. I think those settings are provided by Pentax. Atleast the results are similar. You've found the lens profiles the camera ones are located nearby.

Those that don't use/pay for Adobe products can download trial versions and get the profiles from there.
