Question for 150-450 users on K1

Coming from Nikon VR tele lenses, I have a question for other K1 users with the 150-450 or any other of the larger telephoto lenses.

With both Canon and Nikon, when zooming for precise focus in Live View, you can depress the shutter 1/2 way to engage the VR or IS system in the lens, which makes focusing on manually focusing on distance objects much easier. This is because the VR systems dampen all the slight jars and movements you are making to the lens while manually focusing. Example, focusing on the Moon at night, where getting exact perfect focus (at least for me) is done manually.

Since the K1 has the sensor stabilization, is there anyway to use it to assist with Live View focusing to help damp the slight movement that occurs at 450mm and 8x to 10x magnification on Live View?

Thanks

In live view, when SR is switched on, the sensor moves to stabilize the image seen during focusing. SR can be switched On and Off via menus or via configuring FX1 or FX2 buttons to enable disable SR. Personally , I always shot raw, and I use the FX1 button to enable and disable SR as I wish.

If the SR is ON, it will kick in as soon as you enter live view.

True. But when you zoom it seems SR no longer stays on. But I will try again later tonight.

In lens shake reduction makes the LV image more stable. IBIS does less well at this. The image is still stabilized on the sensor.
