Looking for better control of the in focus beep

With my K lens on the body and everything running M I have a small sort of unwanted behavior. I have the beep sound firing off when the image is in focus. It helps immensely but I only want to hear it when I am looking through the viewfinder. I suppose it might be useful in live view but I have not used that yet. When I get done with a picture and move the camera back to my side, If I did not put the cap on so the lens has the scene available going in and out of focus I continue to hear the beep.
Is it possible to have the tone only fire off if I am looking through the viewfinder? Maybe if the back LCD is on turn the focus confirmation tone off.
Feel free to move this if it belongs somewhere else.

AF confirmation should only be active when the meter is active, so change your half-press to only operate the meter for a few seconds and you should be good.

It was set for 10. Made the change to 3. Much better. Thanks
