Using the K-1 with vintage lenses is the thing that makes me keep it. It’s incredible in all other ways as well, but it can do something to these lenses that my other cameras can’t

We here on Michigan's Keweenaw Peninsula (the peninsula reaches about 1/3 of the way across Lake Superior toward northwest Ontario) also have hazy skies and can smell the smoke. We suspect it would be much worse if not for the filtering provided by the the Lake.

It wouldn't surprise me if the smoke from the western fires circled the globe.

I haven't gone through the whole thread here yet, but from what I've seen there are quite a few people using the old film era lenses to good effect. Hopefully I can do them justice once in a while too. I just got my K1 yesterday, a nearly new one from eBay that hardly looks like it's ever been used, and a shutter count under 10k. I took this after work today with my old M28 f2.8, stopped down to either f8 or f11.

A couple ugly ducklings followed me home from the camera store today too, a pair of F series zooms (35-105 and 70-210) so that I've got something autofocus for family snapshots and just generic walkaround lenses.
