After i've seen a very nice picture taken with a K-1 and a Pentax-M f3,5 28mm, posted on the PixelShift pictures thread, i realized that my interest for vintage glasses (and how they mate with the FF sensor of the K-1) could be shared by many other forum users.
Maybe i'm dissident by nature, maybe i just love too much my vintage optics. Whatever it is, don't share the opinion of those who seem to imply that the only lenses that really match the camera are the Pentax-D FA or other new very expensive glasses.
Absolute sharpness isn't everything, some old lenses have a "character" that most new AF lenses don't have.
BTW, many old lenses still deliver plenty of sharpness, if used at their optimal apertures.
I'm not asking to limit the posts to MF lenses.
I'm more interested in the old Pentax K and M lines of lenses (plus the Takumars), and of course in any third party in PK and M42 mount, but i think that anybody should feel free to post pictures taken with any film era lens.
I'm starting with a couple of photos i've just taken.
Revuenon (Tokmioka project; Tomioka or Cosina made) f/1,2 55mm PK
All wide open.
Location Chiang Mai, Thailand
The photos are nothing special, i just tried to test this super fast normal from the late seventies/early eighties with my brand new K-1, choosing the kind of subjects that could evidence the sweet optical signature of this lens.
A little quick & dirty post processing, one or two are slightly cropped.
Not much joy for pixel peepers cause i forgot to set back the ISO to a more convenient level after taking some pictures in internals. Sorry
Cheers
