Firmware 1.4 - unusual behavior

I installed the 1.4 firmware this afternoon, and then ran out to the local hills for take advantage of a relatively clear night. I have not had a chance to look at images yet, and since I was shooting with a newly acquired Practicar 500mm F5.6 M42 mount lens, I am not sure the images mean anything anyways.

However, I was shooting Bulb to take advantage of Astrotracer. There were several inexplicable hangs, and other strange things happened as well. Manual exposure settings did not seem to work properly either. I want to see if I can reproduce them indoors before mentioning them.

Has anyone else experienced any problems with this upgraded firmware?

Not so far. Did the camera freeze up while performing noise reduction, perhaps? The update may have reset your NR settings.

You just reinstall the previous firmware as other users have reported.

I upgraded to 1.40 . Works fine. But I haven't done any shooting with 1.40 , not covering any potential bug.

I have gotten three crashes with Leitaxed 28/2 Zeiss and always when camera is doing long exposure noise reduction after ~2min astrotracer exposures I usually do. Never with 15-30 D-FA zoom. What has happened is that camera just hangs to black screen requiring re-insertion of the battery. That was with firmware 1.3. No astrotracer worth weather yet to see how 1.4 works. Maybe there are some rare issues with lenses without electrical contacts.
