You should be aware of the fact that the K-1 does not use the Flash's AF beam for metz flashes (and i think any other third party flash). I ordered a Metz 52 af-1 thinking it's the best deal for the money but its pretty disappointing that the af beam is useless, especially since I want to use the k-1 for weddings where I need AF assistance in low light. I am considering returning it right now.
Good tip, if that's the case.

Yeah, it's the same on the 48 and 50. Even with the new flash firmware (1.6?)

Pretty frustrating, as they are really nice flashes otherwise...

What did you do in the end of has there been another software update to deal with this, I was looking at the same flash option

Cheers

I ended up keeping the Metz. I've just accepted that I'll have slower focus speed and will adjust accordingly.
