K1 for live video?

I have a request to video a musician performance and stream it live on the internet, using Facebook.

I'd consider using the K1 for this with the 31mm. ( previous example -
)

Does anyone know if it's possible to use a K-1 in this way?

I was reading this interview/discussion that seems to suggest that live video through HDMI will also show the in-camera settings, is this correct?

You can turn it off the info display using the info button. Note, the K-1 doesn't support clean HDMI out (i.e. the image will show compression artifacts), and you will chew through batteries really quickly, so an AC adapter is recommended.
Thanks. Do you have any examples of what compression artefacts will look like?

AFAIK - aside from a non-compressed signal, "Clean HDMI' is a function to feed a live signal from your camera's sensor through the HDMI without the on screen info overlay you see displayed on the back LCD.
Pentax has never had this ability.
So it would be unsuitable to send to a streaming device.

Great. I guess I'll use a Sony Handycam or Canon 5D or similar ;-p

Updating this thread. The K1 can be used for live streaming. There is a YouTube video (
) that shows you how to set it up and remove all the display info using the camera video mode, a power adapter, and a streaming card.
