Battery Grip. D-BG6

Is anyone noticing excessive battery drain using the battery grip? While using the main camera battery with the grip secondary, the main one shows full power while the grip has depleted some. The other day I had the grip as primary and it rapidly diminished with just about 200 shots. And with the battery set for the main camera, I had the grip power turned off.

Are you using identical batteries in both the camera and the grip? If not, the readings might be off.

If temps are subzero the battery located inside the grip will be depleted faster. There are less heat producing components in there. This is how things were in Nikon camp.

I use identical batteries and I haven't seen any excessive draining from the external battery. Good luck!
