It arrived today.

My K-1 arrived today. Purchases one from a post in the Price Watch Section. Time to learn a whole new camera again. And oh yeah sell some gear. Sold my K50 and two lenses to a co-worker in the lab today. I converted another to the dark side.

I think I may need another hard drive. Work was too long today. Hopefully tomorrow I can give it a test run.

Well done!

Thats a pretty decent step up from a K-50, so as long as you don't mind the extra weight / size, you will probably love it.

Really enjoying mine - its so nice to handle that I don't mind the extra weight.

My step was even bigger: From the K-x to the K-1. Have fun with your new camera, you won't regret it!

Thank you, I actually took the photos with my K3. The K50 was a backup to the K3. I just did not use it enough to justify keeping it. And, oh yeah, I have to pay for the K-1.

Nice work...

Brilliant though opening the box and then placing it right on the edge of the table! LOL

Congrats and enjoy! You will find much of the functionality of the K-1 similar to the K-50, with added stuff of course! And there is always something new to find with it! If you do night photography at ALL, you will love the little assist lights on it! The double memory cards are nice (but still waiting for a chooser routine that does not require messing with the memory cards) and the anti-aliasing filter simulator is great as you can have it turned on OR off for those extra sharp shots, particularly useful in macro/close-up.

Regards,

Awesome camera. I wouldn't stick in on the edge of a table though - I'm too error prone
