When shooting wildlife, subject may be only visible for a short time, we need to react quickly to capture the moment. In order to have the K1 always ready to shoot, I set the Power saving timer to "Off" (choices are 1mn, 3mn, 5mn, 10mn, 30mn and Off), AE set to continuous (it's coupled with AF, when AE is Off there is an additional AF time lag) + even using LV at times when possible. One fully charged D-LI90 lasts about <6 hours (idle time), for 0 shot, no AE continuous. I've gotten a set of eneloop pro to fit in the DBG6 battery grip. Gosh, those eneloop pro are fantastic, that's only to let you know that there is not need to worry about camera shutting down when shooting: after one full day of use, the battery level is still going strong
