Interval shooting problem

Hi there,

I have a problem with interval shooting mode in K1 with tha latest firmware 1.41 in FF mode (didn't try APSC) ... I wanted to shoot stars with interval mode, and I set around 200 shoots with 2sec delay shutter speed 15sec, ISO 2000 and f3.2. After a couple shots, around 20 something, the camera stopped shooting. I tried a couple tests at home and the result is:

I was able to get 200 shots when my shutter speed was 1/50 (iso1000,f2.8),
2.5 sec (iso 100 f2.8) I got 108 photos.
10 sec (iso 100 f4) I got 36 pics
20sec (iso 100 f11) I got j 20 photos
30sec (iso 100, f3.5) I got 13 photos

Then I tried to set 60 photos with 2 sec delay and ... 30sec (iso 250 f3.5) only 4 shots
15 sec (iso 1000 f3.5) I got only 7 pics,
15sec (iso 250 f3.5) again 7 photos,
4sec (iso 250 f3.5) 20 photos
1/50 (iso 1000 f2.8) full 60 pics
0.3sec (iso 100 f 3.5) full 60 pics

Then I tried to set 20 photos with 2 sec delay and ... 30sec (iso 250 f3.5) only 2 shots
10 sec (iso 160 f3.5) I got only 4 pics,
5sec (iso 250 f3.5) 7 photos,
1/13 (iso 250 f3.5) full 20 pics
1sec (iso 250 f3.5) full 20 pics

Then I tried to set 20 photos with 4 sec delay and ... 30sec (iso 250 f3.5) only 3 shots
10 sec (iso 160 f3.5) 7 photos
5sec (iso 250 f3.5) 10 photos,
1sec (iso 250 f3.5) full 20 pics

Then I tried to set 20 photos with 10 sec delay and ... 5sec (iso 250 f3.5) full 20 pics

When the shooting stopped, there was always a message that the interval is completed. Please what is your experience and does anybody know how to fix it or where the problem is? Thank you

Your interval setting should be the shutter speed plus the delay between shots. So if you have a 30s exposure and want 2s between each shot, set the interval to 32s. Also, make sure show shutter speed NR is off.

Or... leave the interval at 2 seconds, go into C menu 2, and into item #13 (interval shooting options) and select option 2.

This will mean that the camera will fire 2 seconds after every exposure, regardless of shutter speed ☺

Yes. Also, I've discovered recently that there is an additional setting for interval shooting, it is possible to tell the camera to wait for the previous frame before capturing a new frame, the 2 sec. extra on top of exposure time aren't required anymore, I tested it and it works.
