default jpeg what the ?

Hello
jpg seems to always default to bright.
I change it to natural with the two buttom rigmarole but it's back to bright next time the camera is turned on.
I have all memory items unticked
Yeah I know about RAW thanks

Think you just answered your own question, you have to tick the things that you want the camera to remember

thing is, I couldn't actually determine which memory item refered to the jpg style

"Custom Image" is the one you want to ensure is checked.

As Adam mentioned - unticking means it will not remember the settings - I think the setting you are talking about is the default.

yep I had it back to front, some form of logic reversal
