K1 holding value

Well....people must be liking their K1's 'cause I can't seem to find any for much of a discount off ebay.

Well, the retail price was increased from $1799 to $1949 a few months after launch, and the camera's street price (new) has ranged between $1799 and $1899 since then, so yup $1799 is considered a good deal.

A gently used K-1 is a very good value. Several have been offered in the PF Marketplace.

There were few under 1700$ on marketplace here, maybe worth scrolling through pages. I won't be selling mine for a long time) beast of a camera

I'm glad I didn't stick with my "wait until it gets closer to $1,000" plan, because I think I'd be waiting a loooonng time. It's a great little machine! I don't regret the price at all ($1,795 from B&H earlier this year).

I just sold one for 1450 on the marketplace. Sad to leave pentax but I've really started to focus on event photography (bicycling, running, etc) and weddings. AF is really accurate and good but it's not SUPER quick. If i was still doing portraiture and landscapes there wouldn't have been a reason to leave. The camera is ridiculously cheap for what it offers.
