Surprisingly positive. Pretty much feels like a paid advertisement with almost no criticism of the product at all. A first of this kind review I have seen that does not whine but only praises. If you notice all other camera manufacturers have similarly placed positive reviews at the launch. Pentax never gave a sh!t to promoting their products like the way others do which I sometimes wonder why not. Its a good product and worth a paid positive review.

Nice article. If you look at Pentax articles from between 1960s to 1980s, they are positive and good to read. That only during the last two decade that we have seen a drop of Pentax marketing.
With regards to B&H, I really like their content, rather practical and value oriented as opposed to a lot of reviews that are completely brand biased.

I was barely born those years when Pentax was marketing their gear. Good to hear they did it at one point. Like they also did brilliant FA*s during those times. The legendary A*/FA* 200/f4 macro times. They did suffer hostile take overs in past 2 decades which probably explains their decline in marketing strategies. Honestly I feel good about RI taking over Pentax, seeing value in the brand and the development team and investing in it rather than offering hostility unlike its previous take overs. If RI wasn't up for this then we could have never seen the K-1 and the D-FA*70-200 ever.

Did you think B&H would put up something bad about a product they are trying to sell.

Of course not.
On the other hand, it is still nice to see a review like that one: refreshing.

Well it is a great camera.

I do like a lot of the content B&H has on their site in the Explora section, one of the reasons I seem to send half my money to them.

A puff piece, really an advertisement masked as editorial, but any publicity's good publicity, right?

I'd call it more of a profile than a review.

Either Ricoh paid for the "review" or B&H decided the camera was worth the time and did it on their own. It doesn't really matter which. Ricoh needs the exposure.
