K1 Memory Card slot options

I’ve just updated to Firmware 1.43 from 1.42. Prior to that, I had 1.40 & 1.30. Somewhere along the way I missed 1.42 which I think gave added options for memory card slot options. Up until now I have been running slot 1 for RAW & slot 2 for JPG, and now want to switch to sequential use where slot 1 loads followed by slot 2 when 1 is full. Existing 128mb cards are partially full. The user manual has a picture showing an arrow to slot 1 filling first, but when I set up as required, the menu on my K1 shows the reverse & indeed, this is the case when I shoot. For the life of me I can not work out how to have slot 1 load before 2. Any ideas anyone? Thanks in advance.

Hmm... with only the slot 1 card inserted, turn on the camera, then off. Insert slot 2 card.

The firmware updates are accumulative so there is no need to install previous versions.
