No any loss of details of K-1II

I've just check the test scene of K-1II in this review
Hasselblad X1D-50c Review: Take the studio wherever you go: Digital Photography Review
and I don't see any traces of noise reduction in RAW with losing details....
I see sharp photos at ISO1600 (even without pixel shift) and higher....

That’s why I said DPR raising issue about baked in noise reduction is much ado about nothing. I did not notice any loss of detail, especially at high ISO when details are already being lost.

DPR and other similar happens, when people assume, and does not even bother to try it out. Or, is it this Social media hype/click bait thing?

Good confirmation of what many of us were thinking.

DP Review initially had shots that had a lot of softness, particularly in the right upper corner and maybe some motion blur too. At the same time they released their review with verbiage that made it sound as though Pentax K-1 II was a star eater on steroids. When an astro review site released a review indicating that there weren't stars being eaten, they contacted him to ask him to reconsider his review.

That said, they eventually reshot the scenes for their comparison tool and as you say, ogl, the tool doesn't really show what they were saying. The files are nice and clean up to iso 6400 and probably usable a couple of stops above that. Most of what the accelerator seems to do is reduce color noise.

I shoot A LOT of my pictures at iso 3200-6400 and they look sharp and full of detail. I never believe this nonsense when people post unscientific tests using wide open lenses with manual focus (as seen in thread even in here) where you are bound to observe softness due to glass not being at the optimal setting.

As a side note, it does feel like DPR takes every chance possible to have a swing at Pentax. Just skimming the first page, I find this, "This means once you reach ISO 1600, unlike most cameras such as the Pentax 645Z, the dynamic range does not drop by 1 EV drop for each 1 EV increase in ISO." If "most cameras" do this, then why not say, oh Fuji?

Hard to read anything over there without a bad taste in the mouth afterwards. Kinda like a cheap wine.

I agree, seems like DPR has some agenda against value oriented brand such as Pentax. I decided to discount their words after the K1-ii review debacle.

I was really deceived by DPR and really think that K-1II is worse than K-1 in terms of details at higher ISO....

Oh. My God...I've compared K-1 and K-1II at ISO6400...It seems to me K-1II is a bit sharper and it has a bit lower noise...!!!!

The blue color is better too...At all ISO.

ISO12800 - I don't see any difference in details, maybe K-1IIs has less colour noise...

As for radical ISO - higher - I don't care

Yes, 3200-6400 are usable. It's very good. It seems to me I want to buy K-1II.

If ISO is great untill 6400, that is amazing. Good 12800 is more than enough

Why did DPREVIEW post questionable conclusion?

Because they were looking for reasons to tear down the K-1 II.

Honestly, I believe that they (a) didn't think the K-1 II was that much of an improvement over the original K-1 and (b) didn't fit with their concept of where cameras should be moving (mirrorless, small, and with great video). Once they decided that they didn't like it, they were looking for reasons to disparage it and telling people that the accelerator chip removed a bunch of detail was one way to do so.

Is it private bias towards Pentax gear or it's the policy editorial staff? How do you think? They form public opinion, by the way.
