Great. Thanks for the clarification.

I also ended up returning the 28-105 yesterday and got the 24-70. Needed the 24 more than the 105.

What is the price for this lens in NZ, out of curiosity? I would bring you one tax free, but I'm not planning a trip any time soon.
I'm not sure yet as no NZ is listing it with a price yet but expecting north of NZ$2200.

Dang, that is a lot of lens.
You think that's big? I just received my Pentax 70-200 after returning my Tamron 70-200. That thing is enormous. The new Pentax 24-70 I also picked up at the same time is also larger than the 50mm DA*.

You're not joking - fortunately, the cost and weight are more than justified by the performance!

Indeed. It's very sharp. The Tamron was sharp, but this one appears significantly sharper to the naked eye at f2.8. Hopefully I'll get some time to play around with it this weekend.

I also seem to be on a lucky streak; so far none of my lenses have needed any microAF adjustments in body. All are spot on right out of the box according to my lens focus calibration scale.
