I have a case in which I need forum help from some experienced K-1 video users.
I’ve run into a need to shoot an interview video using my K-1 and although I’ve done video before, I’ve never used the K-1, defaulting to a camcorder for that. This time, I need more professional audio so would like to use a wireless lavalier mic and a receiver plugged into the K-1 (split to both channels for mono sound - my camcorder doesn’t provide for wired audio inputs). I also desire 16:9 HD video though no need for UHD. No fancy zooms or focus tracking is anticipated.
Two questions (more like three): 1) what’s a good low cost wireless lav microphone set that can be used with the K-1? 2) What is a reasonable editing software (low cost or freeware) that can be used to edit separate cuts (once transferred from SD card to hard-drive) into a singular presentation and 3) output that to a structure which can be burned to a DVD and played on any DVD player? If I can get an mp4 file, I have software than can add a menu and output a TS_VIDEO folder.
My reasons for keeping it simple are that it won’t happen that often although I would like to produce a reasonably high video/audio quality end product which will be used for a big screen (literally - not big as in major motion picture) presentation
Thanks.
