sigma 500mm f4.5

anyone have any real world experience with the sigma 500mm f4.5 on the K1 ?? i want the longer reach and full frame but i have 3 of the sigma DG screw drive lenses from film days even though they worked on everything from the MZS to the K3 but they are quirky to say the least on the K1 so needless to say i am concerned about getting the sigma versus the 560. thanks fro any help anyone can give

I would generally recommend the 560mm these days, not only because of the price difference, but also the silent AF, lens corrections, and warranty.

I've used it with reasonable results. More from lack of opportunity than anything. Focus is good, and it is sharp. The focus tracking on the 150-450 is quite good, but it seems that Pentax optimized the algorthms for their lenses. That being said it is accurate and as quick as it was on the K3.
