DFA 150-450mm converter with K-1 Il

Is anybody use a converter with the DFA 150-450mm
I understand Pentax 1.4 isn’t working.
Is the Sigma or other works on full frame?
Any rumor from Pentax?
Thanks to all

You may be interested in this review of how the DA 1.4x teleconverter works with the DFA 150-450. Being a crop-frame TC, it vignettes badly, but otherwise works well.

I have a Tamron 1.4x converter and it works fine with my D FA 150-450 lens. I also have a Sigma 1.4x teleconverter. It does not have the two contacts to drive lens autofocus system. It also will not lock in place so I would not trust my lens on it. The Sigma converters are basically good only for Sigma lenses although a few Pentax lenses will work on them.

The lack of Pentax FF teleconverters is my biggest frustration with Ricoh. I

Not sure what 'isn't working' means.
I use the Pentax 1.4xTC with the DFA 150-450 on a K-1 quite a bit and it 'works' quite well.
As others have mentioned from time to time, it does vignette, but I reckon it is minor and of little consequence as most of my shots require some cropping.

Cheers,
Terry

Read the review in the forum regarding the HD DA 1.4 with the DFA 150-450. It works very well except for the minor vignette. I am pleased with mine.

Yes. Loads of vignetting. I sold the HD TC, use crop mode. If you have the K1II and 150-450 it's always an very good equipment, try to get closer to subject (have you thought about using IR remote + LV or WiFi tethering will do well in some cases), just enjoy it.

Yes, current the news is that the K1 system is the value / money. For rumors, it's a more tricky question, because every person who asked Ricoh about it had to sign an NDA and can't spill the bean on PF unless they want to end-up like Carlos Ghosn with wife and kids bringing him oranges behind the bars.

One other thing to keep in mind - if you really need the extra reach, there's nothing wrong with grabbing your crop body with the 150-450.
