DOES The KP Limited (not Custom) have something to do with the 100th Anniversary? I don’t think I ever made the connection.

No association was made with the 100th anniversary of Asahi Optical, but I cannot believe that they would make another limited edition of this one camera in such a short time.

Generally the limited editions are silver. I do not think this frankencamera KP, which was put together outside of Ricoh, would be the limited we seek.

Note “(tentative name)” and Actual name, which is KP J Limited. Of course they would make a KP Special 100th Anniversary Edition (in addition to the KP J Limited). It’s the 100th Anniversary. People will buy them. There is precedent.

What would you bet EVERY 100th Anniversary Limited Edition body includes the LE Hot Shoe Cover?

or Gunmetal, which was a second K-3 special edition labeled Prestige Edition, in addition to the somewhat limited K-3 Premium Silver Edition. There is precedent.

If not at least a small "100 Years of Pentax" badge/device on the body. Or body and lens cap (if bundled with lens) with either the 100 Years or AOCo logo.

I really hope they use these AOCo ideas. That is such special logo.

I commented that they were already making a special edition of the KP - I do not believe the market for special editions will support two special editions of the KP at the same.

We shall see what they do.

Depends how many they offer. 1,000 units of K-1, KP and K-new with the special K-mount and unique 100th Anniversary Jubilee Platinum* color would sell out before they were actually made.

* Platinum is the traditional 100th Anniversary color.

Colour, not real platinum please. They could 3D print a real platinum body, it would be way more expensive than gold too. If the metal body only weighed in at 400 grams, and current value is £23.35/gram then that alone will top out at £9, 340. Take that Leica!.
