Here's something else to keep in mind. I sold one of my K-S2's to a fellow forum member who rec'd it today. He sent me a panicked PM a little earlier saying that no matter what he tried none of his lenses would autofocus. He looked at what might cause it by doing a search on the forums here and was convinced it was a mirror failure. Said unless I had any suggestions he would have no choice but to immediately re-pack it and send it back to me.
I had not thought anything about sending it to him just as I had it set up:
BACK-BUTTON FOCUS. I've used back button focus for years and to me it's the norm. Gosh I'm not at all surprised his immediate thought would have been the camera was bad. I really hopes he reads my PM before heading to the post office. :-(
So before selling your old camera set it back to default shutter!
EDIT: Too late. The buyer sent it back within two hours of receiving it and before reading my PM. Lesson learned. Look for a clean K-S2 with under 5K activations in the for sale section within a day or two and this time I'll set the focus back to default before shipping it.
