K-1II, the Bigma and a wet, windy day.

Not the nicest day, a wide river and my Sigma 50-500mm long lens on the sturdy tripod. Here's some examples of the Wairarapa Multisport Club 2020 Ruamahanga Kayak Race.

Hang on, hang on, hang on...................................something is a bit fishy here...

Everyone says that Pentax is no good for sports or action photography.

So, what am I supposed to believe now, my own eyes..............or talking heads on the web.................:

Great images Mark, well captured mate.

An excellent set, Mark! I trust everyone was happy with your documentation of the event?

They were all paddling upstream so they were basically sitting still.

Really well done action portraits. And I'm willing to bet that the smiles are not for the camera as they seem to be having a grand old time.

Great action shots! The Bigma is an underrated lens. If you know how to use it it is a great telephoto.

With the river at 120 cubic metres per second, I don't think so!
