Remote Shutter Release Connection Cable for LPTimelapse 2.5 to K1

Hi. I need help on what cable exactly should I get to connect a LPTimelapse PRO Timer 2.5 to a K1. I ordered (and returned) from Amazon(de) a "PHOLSY C6 Remote Shutter Release Connection Cable 2.5mm Jack for Triggertrap and for Canon Fujifilm Olympus Pentax...", since it was indicated it was compatible with K1. But the jack did no fit in the camera. Not sure now if it was the cable I received wrong or my choosing. Any suggestions will be appreciated. Thxs.

That cable should have fit your camera's wired release fitting* (bottom right under the rubber flap). Did the cable end look like the below?

* Labeled as "Cable switch terminal" in the camera manual page 7.

Steve, thanks. [not sure my earlier reply got in... so here is again] I attached a pic of the cable I mentioned. One jack looks like the one you sent, but the other is too big for any of the sockets, either the camera's or the LPTimelapse's.

From the product page at LPT, it appears they require a 2.5mm TRS (three conductor) plug on their end. The same is true for your camera. Unfortunately, the PHOLSV cable is not made that way and several reviews on Amazon are from users having the same problems as you. It seems they are selling a 3.5mm to 2.5mm TRS cable, something that is common for audio and for flash sync usage.

Below is a link to a cable that is 2.5mm TRS on both ends and that I use with my K-3 with my wired remote and intervalometer. It should work for you, assuming that the LPTimelapse documentation is correct.
