K1 wifi not working

It seems the wi-fi on my k1 does not function. When i turn it on via the function button it flashes on for a 1/2 a second and shuts off, same if enabled through the menu settings. Could it be my firmware?

Hi and welcome.

Please try the following:
1. Set the camera to Green mode or Program mode.
2. Turn Wifi on using the top dial and 3rd control wheel.
3. Go in the menu to "Wifi" (tools menu 2) and check if it is on.
4. Use the right controller and go into the Wifi settings.
5. Go to Wifi settings / Action mode and try to toggle on and off there.
6. Toggle down to Wifi settings / Reset settings and reset the wifi settings to default.

Thanks Mark, that didnt work. The menu display shows it as on, the screen shows it as off and no indicator light, when i turn the back dial to toggle on/off it just gives a quick flash then nothing.

Have you tried using the wifi of your mobile phone to detect if there is a wifi signal from the camera, such as the SSID of the camera?

If the SSID of the camera is detected, you may have turned off the wifi indicator lamp on the camera.

I suggest you reset to factory settings and try it again on green mode and program mode.
