K-1 Outdooor View Setting Restetting - HELP please

The "Outdoor View Setting" on my K-1 keeps resetting itself back o "off" every time the camera powers down. I don't believe it used to do that. Any suggestion as to how to make it stay where I set it?

There’s a setting in Pentax cameras that controls what is remembered. On my K-3 it is in the “camera icon” 4 menu, called “memory “ but the k-3 lacks an outdoor lcd setting. On my KP it is camera icon 5 - memory - and on sub-menu 3 there’s an option to remember outdoor view setting. A check mark means remember this - no check means it reverts to default on power cycle.

Mine has always done that (must be default). However, choose MENU 5 (4-way controller). On the initial list choose "MEMORY", and then you select list 3 (4-way controller again) which shows "OUTDOOR VIEW SETTING" as a check box. That should do the trick.
