IF you can find the hardware dongle used AND your Android or iOS device has a headphone jack, TriggerTrap can do almost any kind of interval shooting you want. You can even use two Android or two iOS devices and use the second one to remote control the one attached to the camera. Further, other device sensors (for example, sound or light) can be used to trip the shutter.
Sadly, TriggerTrap couldn't generate enough sales volume to sustain the company and went out of business. Certainly, I am not giving up my TriggerTrap dongle until I sell all my photography gear.
