K1ii, menus seem to scroll faster, but of course I can't compare side by side.

Not likely. And not coming to the K-70 either. Apparently the reason is that the KP's development environment is completely different. It's addressed in this article from last year, but you'll need to use a translator.

Or the K-3 III. Have you seen the K-3 III interface yet? It's a completely new generation from the Pentax cameras that preceded. I don't know anything for sure, but I think that any cameras based on the new OS are going to be more "future proof".

In this case, they probably made an exception for the K-1 II because they still expect to be selling it for a while. That makes it worthwhile to develop for, but it must be more difficult to make a business case for continued updates to the KP now.

Still, be happy! The KP is a great camera that seems to be considered even more desirable now it's difficult to get hold of.

Works. Tone curves aren't available like they are on the K3 III.

I have to say, some really good results.

K1 and smc 77 at F2.2

Here is an in camera developed raw with my own manual WB correction, iso 100 and +0.3 compensation cause other images looked very dark at -0.3.

and the same with auto WB applied.

Pentax should definitely pursuit this route with other filters/recipes

Doesn't the newest version of DCU offer a Satobi jpeg profile? That would probably be the best you can do.

What is "Satobi"? Answer: In order to express universal nostalgia, we aimed for a texture similar to that of color photographs from the 1960s to the 1970s. In contrast to MIYABI, which has a glittering impression, SATOBI has an image that makes you feel a little melancholy.
