I have a camera from the future

My K-1 mkII has been repaired and now comes from the future! Manufacture date is now showing as 2022:09:30. The original date from when it was just a K-1 was 2016.03.04 which didn't change when it was uprated to mkII.

AF? Where we’re going, we don’t need AF.

They "future-proofed" it, as they say.

I wondered what if (Osiris forbid) it needed warranty repairs BEFORE the apparent date of manufacture ?

There's an awesome sci-fi story in there somewhere -- a camera that takes pictures of the subjects on the future might be able to take:

A summer landscape that shows the upcoming fall foliage.

A wedding photograph that shows the future off spring (or divorce) of the couple.

A picture of a horse race track that shows the future Kentucky Derby winner.

A camera that exists and doesn't exist. One must attempt to take a picture of a cat to find out the camera's true state.
