It comes complete with a disclaimer, because we're just such a rowdy bunch.

Here is a link that skips the intro that is probably a failed attempt at trying to be funny:

N.B.: Great appraisal of the camera. Great stuff from Chris Niccolls, as always.

They didn't say anything stupid (*) so why the childish disclaimer in the beginning?

(*) Nothing stupid, but I didn't understand the remark about Pentax cameras demanding a lot of pursuit to be properly used. To optimally use any complex piece of equipment one has to put in the time to learn about it. That is true of any such piece of equipment and does not need mentioning with respect to Pentax cameras in particular.

Fair point, though, about admitting that they don't have the time to learn about every camera in-depth. Which may (or may not) explain why they received some feedback for their coverage of Pentax cameras from Pentaxians that pointed out some omissions / misconceptions.

Personally, I found they always did a great job with reviewing flagship Pentax DSLRs. I didn't get the alcohol-fueled teasing of some of Pentax's more quirky products at the end of year reviews, but they didn't bother me much either.

Yeah I saw that (clipped) disclaimer and it was "move on." Not that I'm a Pentax Fanboy, but it just seemed unprofessional.

"Most like some of the owners themselves..."

Kai throws bait in the water.

Skip to 9 mins 40s to see what I'm referring to:

At least he has the right lens on it.

Historically Kai has never really liked or gelled with Pentax products. Lok's (pre)view in Hong Kong was interesting in that they ripped on some of the features that other reviewers have been getting hot and bothered about!

I wouldn't actually really say that.
Afaik his first camera was a Pentax and I remember reading one or two articles written by him that are quite positive towards the brand.

It's entertainment anyways, a bit like TopGear was (I think someone actually compares it in the comments of the above video), you get a general idea about the product but lots of it is tongue in cheek.

Kai has always displayed a soft spot towards Pentax. This stands out in his reviews of pancake lenses, the K-S2, the K-r (Will Ricoh kill Pentax?) and the mock public service How to Save Pentax (call 0-800-hope-for-pentax).

And then there is Kai's blog entry "5 Reasons Why Pentax DSLRs are Not That Rubbish"

My very first SLR was a Pentax, and I still have fond feelings for the brand as a result.
A statement he has reiterated in one or two of his videos.

That's not true. He thinks Pentax is 'weird and wonderful'.

Voice review; no video

I haven't seen this one posted. It's long but I thought it was interesting.

That first line doesn't make much sense...
