After careful review, and dying down of the K-1 hysteria, I have cancelled my K-1 pre-order at B&H. True, the K-1 has all the features I would like to have. But the main reason for cancelling the order is the weight of the gear.

As I "mature" (I have 65 years of photography background), weight is becoming more important . So I downsized from FF to APS-C and eventually m43. I recently went back to APS-C with the K-3ii and while I feel I can handle that weight OK the additional 300g (K-1 body only) or so would be difficult. Add to that the inevitable lens additions, my K-1 travel kit would weight at least 2 lbs more than my K-3ii. Getting too old for that.

So I will watch and envy you young 'uns with the K-1 setups. Have fun.

I pre-ordered a K-1 on Monday, during a visit to a B&M store in Adelaide. $200 deposit paid. Can't wait!
