Obviously it's very hard if you come from overseas for a limited time to have an opening in your schedule, but Pathdoc and I managed to meet up at the Belgian Beer Café when he was visiting for a conference. Introducing ourselves to other forum members? More of it, say I! :-D
I wouldn't mind meeting people if anyone is through in Golden at all...

I hate beer, but love a Shandy.

Beer, wine, shandies, or Harvey Wallbangers. Whatever your poison, let's hoist one high!

Same here. If you are going to be in the Kootenay in BC, maybe we can roust up a grizzly or osprey.

Now wait just a minute... with the microbrew revolution that's going on here in the US, there are a lot of most excellent beers available. What kind of beer is your favorite, Norm? I bet we could find a microbrew that you'd like.

Favourite beers of the moment, Guiness because were are on diets and it's low calorie, then there's a three pack from Hocklybeer.ca, Hockley Amber, Hockey Classic and Hockey Dark, with Hockley Dark being the favourite. Muskoka Breweries IPA for Tessfully, Detour (which is an IPA with lighter taste) for me, Winterweis, right now, in the summer Summerweis. (duh).

These are the current favourites, so if I were where you live, what would I drink? Please don't tell me I'd have to bring my own. I won't be coming.

Would you be drinking Molson's Golden?
Does that stuff even still exist?
I had a Nanaimo Bar once in Nanaimo BC, now I should aim for a Golden in Golden. I could force one down.

My daughter asked for a drink of beer when she was about 10. We handed her the bottle, she took a sip spit it out and said, "why do you drink that stuff?". Now her ( at age 35) beer consumption is something to behold. There's hope for you yet.

I think it's because she's an engineer. I'm not sure you can even pass engineering at any university worth it's salt without being able to hold a least a 6 pack at a party. In Geology I here the number is a two four.

Apparently an average American drinks around $1300 in alcohol per year - I could get a DA* 300 and the 1.4 RC...
Priorities... good thing I can forget about drinking for a while now

How much do you want to bet it was Alex?
I think it might have been Adam, could have been Alex.
It could have been any number of people here.
And even...<gasp>...someone not like us...who never comes here!
