I need a wife like that.

Being a victim of such exchanges with ones life partner on a regular basis, my alarm bells would be ringing that my offer of putting a hold on beer consumption got escalated on the return to include wine and spirits......

Mine said "If you get the K-1, do I get your K-3?" Did I pick a winner or what?

I will buy one in about 24 months time second hand if all reviews go well, and I'm happy with what I read, as I want to use a full frame camera with my lenses. But, I am not sure that I am a fan of the type of flippy screen used on the K-1, not my cup of tea. If I had a flippy screen I'd prefer an articulated screen similar to what is on the K-S2 (something that can be used faced in as well).
Oh, the screen is something I really like; an articulated screen stands off to the side of the camera when pointed up, while a flippy screen is directly behind it {and I like that much more}. I have no reason to take a picture of myself; I know what I look like.

LCD ... might also be a gimmick thing that will be sort of a Pentax signature for full frame and thus worth it even on coming models. Who knows.
I hope so!! {I also hope the prism housing is used on all other DSLR models so there is a clear differentiation of Pentax from Canikon}

Yes me too, I have never taken a selfie, I don't use smart phones or use social media, and that is not what I was talking about. Simply that I prefer the ergonomics of an articulated screen rather than the flippy tilty one.

Sometime soon we are probably going to be using Video cameras that can take Stills (rather than the other way around) so I think a screen which could be difficult to use in a presentation (YouTube) style video and the lack of Video Image Stabilisation will be deal breaker for some.

I would buy the K-1 but I doubt that my kids would.
