Originally posted by vrolok I wonder how good old, cheap, tiny, K 24 / 2.8 performs on a K-1. I have read not too good on A7r, though not bad either. So, I am curious about the K-1. Has anyone tried it?

I am still on the fence on it.
I've seen decent days and bad on my lens which leaves me puzzled.
I suspect it has to do with field curvature and infinity focus (esp the inability of the side to get far enough in focus due to field curvature)
One thing I am sure, its better than the results of the A7r (I've been passed samples before).
The thick filter stack of the A7 series of cameras does affect old wides (even SLR ones).
It even affected the K24/2.8 on the edges for the A7, and got much better when I sent the sensor for thin filter modification.
This is a test shot that I did for comparing composition adjustment between a 24mm and 28mm (to see what rough gain the shift gives to a 28mm lens wrt 24mm)
I also left the full size image on my Flickr here: Shot at f11

You have to judge if it meets your needs.
IMO, I already have the lens, rather cheap and long paid for in lots of photos on other cameras, so I think I will continue using it.
Decent enough IQ (I only need to nail down why the edge inconsistency so far in my usage).
Furthermore, if its downsampled to 24mp, most of the edge issues are not really visible and the same of little better than on my 24mp A7 (modded).
No matter, its also smallish and a nice punch to images, so to me such things are seldom just black and white.
Eventually, I might also get the new DFA wide on the roadmap for 2017. (IF its either 21,24 or 25mm and has excellent IQ for landscapes)
