In comparison to my K 28 3.5 or K 35 3.5 it's very blurry. If i take pictures, even wide open, i can see every blade of grass on its own.

The pictures themselves are great I like the autumn colors!

Well, I may as well toss my 2 cents into this giant thread already.

+1 for the 15-30mm. Maybe I am used to modern fast full frame glass, but I don't find it overly large. Having a zoom is often invaluable, as is the f2.8 speed for indoor shots.
Having said that, a DFA 20mm f4 limited would be a great addition to the line-up and I may even get one if Ricoh decides to release one (who am I kidding, I would for sure get one). However, given the current choices, I think you compromise the least with the 15-30mm.

DA 15 Ltd for full frame, is that what you're saying? I would buy it also.

Maybe they should make it a bit faster (astrophoto comes to mind) and also WR, at the expense of being a bit bigger. I don't need f/1.4, but something like DFA 20mm f2.8 WR, sharp from edge to edge and reasonably large?

Here's the Flickr link for a view that is not so "blurry". 24mm Miller Road-0619 | Chuck Simon | Flickr

The problem with such DFA 20mm 2.8 would be the cost which will be ~1500$. And so people start comparing it to super duper 15-30/2.8 which turns out to be technically better for shooting brick walls, has 3% less vignette and costs only 2 cents more.

It is the edge-to-edge sharpness which ramps up the costs. f/8 quality lens would be ~$799.

You are just making it up while you go along don't you.

Canon/Nikon/Sony A-mount: Compare Canon EF 20mm f 2.8 USM Lens vs Nikon AF NIKKOR 20mm f 2.8D Lens vs Sony 20mm f 2.8 Wide Angle Prime Lens

The discontinued FA 20mm F2.8 was in the same price class.

What? Those ages old 20mm duds are not anything special optically. Edge-to-edge sharp ~20mm glass for hi-MP body = Zeiss Loxia 21mm which costs about 1500$. There is no way Pentax will produce such lens any cheaper. And that $1500 will still be cheap for today's standards. See the prices which CaSoNikon come up with these days. Pentax already went into that territory with Penron lenses.

There is an FA* 24mm for 485$ available on my local market, new condition. Do you think it's a good deal?

Seems reasonable but not amazing according to the price history here.

samyang 20mm f/1.8 vs. da limited 15mm f/4

concerning flare, here are the obvious results:

the da 15mm is simply unbeatable. While the samyang star bursts are beautiful, I find the da 15mm star burst stunning.

being a full frame lens and thus giving me the resolution I want was the reason for me to buy the samyang 20mm.
The difference betwenn the samyang in full resolution, the samyang downscaled to APS-C and the DA 15mm in crop mode can be seen here.

Sorry for not having a more sophisticated comparison here, but I simply did not have the time to test the samyang as much as I liked to. But I guess these pics show some important facts. However, for me its time for my well deserved vacation (I have both lenses with me ;-), see you again in December.

But...the point of the limited lenses is they are small, light and with metal build quality. It sounds like you're describing a D FA* lens.
