what's your standout feature on the K-1?

Yes, besides the sensor and perhaps the price - we're all ecstatic about those two, even though I'm not really contemplating a larger camera or sensor

For me the top price is the SR going 5 stops: that's really impressive. I didn't think of how a larger SR mechanism could conceivably be more sensitive, so that was a nice surprise. The other cool update for me is the Pixel-Shift improvement; that must tie in to the Clarity function, perhaps? Good to hear that some blur can now be recognized and discarded.

The rear-LED gymnastics will be a great help to some folks, as will tethering and GPS things. Those aren't for me so much though.

What feature got you even more excited than you were a week ago?
I'm tempted to make a poll of this, but I may not list enough possibilities so I Just Said No.

I think aside from sensor and price, it's the improved, 5-axis in-body SR. I do a lot of available light, no-flash, handheld, candid shooting, and being able to get high ISO images with relatively little noise is a huge attraction. I think between the SR and sensor (pixel size should be similar to K5, so I expect the low light noise characteristics to be at least as good), this will be a really solid low-light camera.

I'm surprised I will say this but actually...the tethering/WiFi. Most of my shooting is with cosplayers and models. It will be nice to fire up the tablet and do a little review of photos at the end of the session! The feedback helps me figure out what to edit and what to discard.

Five-stop SR, the LCD mount, and so excellent a feature set at such a good opening price.

The screen design and the LED lights. Those will come in very handy in the field, especially when shooting starscapes.

Of course, the FF-grade image quality is a given. Without that nothing else matters

If the 5 stop SR performs at that level, then that will be a good feature for me.
I use a K-3 II with a 150-450, and sometimes with a 1.4x TC.
The K-3 II SR works OK with the 150-450, but rarely copes when I add the 1.4x TC.

Cheers,
Terry

From your heading I was going to FF full stop but seriously I would like to explore the high end ISO capability. For instance is noise a problem at 800, 1,000, 20,000?

What is getting my interest are the hints how well they have implemented the features. AF is looking very interesting, the combination of SR, high resolution, and the stellar handling details hinting at a very capable workhorse body.

And the price.

Adam, I sure hope those LEDs are suitably dim for dark places. Maybe even red like astronomers prefer, but we shan't get too greedy..

I'm hoping it will kick my photography into high gear. Being able to print really large is a big plus for me as people are asking for large prints. I'm hoping the K1 will be just as good for portraits as it is for landscape.

I am hoping that they are a selectable feature.

Some of the previews mentioned that it is configurable.

Standout feature for me (for a FF camera) - that it can autofocus FA lenses

I'm hoping it's AF/tracking improvement.

The improved autofocus system.

Based on videos posted by Pentax Japan, the SAFOX 12 AF system is able to use arbitrary clusters of AF points to track moving subjects. This is a gamechanger for autofocus performance. https://www.pentaxforums.com/forums/190-pentax-k-1/314349-safox-12-autofocus-...nts-focus.html
