Pic 3? 70mm.

He was dropped by the bunch and decided to entertain the crowd instead ... he probably pulled out when he next descended down to the team tents.

Switched over to the Magmod system for my flash a couple weeks ago. Been playing around with gels here and there for fun.

Hi Clackers

Pic 4 sorry for the confusion
the riders do like to "show off" don"t they
There is a race soon locally and they are using the local hills for part of it

Interesting shot. I'd see it in black & white.
I thought again about your suggestion. I think what first put me off was that in the 1970s and 1980s I took many photos similar in subject and composition on ISO 400 B&W film which I still like a lot, and some of which I have been reworking in digital lately.

This would be an example (from 1977), OT here since it was scanned with the LS-9000 rather than copied with the K-1 as I prefer to do now.

In that style grain, contrast and a clear composition made the image. I couldn't get the same look without adding fake grain in post which just doesn't cut it for me. Following your comment, I thought I'd go for a different look, more like a B&W image taken on large format film with more smooth tones. I'm curious if it works for you that way.

March snow or, the old barn with the new roof. FA 31mm Limited at f/8.

Sweet!

I never expected the Apocalypse to be accompanied by the sound of cellos. (I was thinking more like death metal).
