I recently bought my first ever true macro from a forum member (Tamron 90 2.8), so I'm waiting for sunny days in our area, for now - shooting any bug I see

You are off to a good start. My first macro wasn't that good. Come to think of it, 50 years later many of my macros are still not that good.

I took a nose dive into researching all the available options, and the Tamron seemed like the best bang for the buck for the system, so when I saw a nice copy for sale I grabbed it right away

I went to Montezuma National Wildlife Refuge today. Not much going on other than a spat over housing between some Canada Geese. It was a bad day to be a frog. One red wing blackbird was enjoying the long delayed arrival of spring. These images shot with my K1-II and my D FA 150-450 lens.

Unfortunately I drove an hour and a half to the wrong town so this is the only racing motorcycle shot I got.

The D-FA 24-70.

Hi Tas

Yes it wasn't your day you still missed the motorcycle but captured the house it passed.

Leaf (100 macro WR/pixel shift)

Leaves (100 macro WR/pixel shift)

There is something about pixel shift images -- a tonality perhaps that really shines. Obviously it take a still day, but it is worth the effort when it works.

It's the first lens I bought to supplement the Kit lens from my K20D, and since then I've used this lens with all my bodies on a regular basis.
It's an incredible Macro lens and back in the days I've shot a ton of portrait and product stuff with this lens and my K20D, only later did I realised it was too clinical for portrait.
But I was living in West Africa where Pentax lenses were super difficult to find so when I found this Tamron 90mm I was in heaven.

Yesterday, walking around the streets I shot a Shiba Inu dog with this lens, wonderful dog by the way !

Happy days ahead AWSCREO !

Three K-1 • APSC mode • DA55-300PLM - Birding

Not much birding until now. I try to get accustomed to it. Seems hard to catch small birds in flight when not far away. So today no BIF, just captured them sitting - called Birds in Sitting - BIS?!

&

One K-1 • APSC mode • DA55-300PLM - PSR

By the way ... @jabobby & @fs999 thank you for your nice comments on the last two macros!
