Black flies are here, swarming and starting to bite. Who knows when I'll be out next, although it's still cool in the morning.

Thanks for sharing these. I was working through them and got to a point where I thought I was seeing a difference in clarity / sharpness / quality of image and went back and checked exif…...Mark 2 images certainly stand out imho...unless its the glass, or my imagination.

When I take the time to do it right, the D FA 150-450 is a heck of a lens. When I first got the camera I put my D FA 28-105 lens on it to test for shutter shock. It does seem less noticeable than on my K1 but that may simply be camera to camera variation.

All in all I am pleased with my K1-II but I do not plan to do the upgrade on my K1. I spent the money on the trip instead. My K1 has never given my any real reason to be dissatisfied with it. It is a fine camera as is.

My only real concern with the K1-II is it's inability to resolve the details in the fur of animals such as seen on the three mountain goats in the center of this image.

Last one, at another angle.

I've been trying to get a shot with multiple things in the selective focal plane, but with the rest of the shot in bokeh bubbles, so it would have an effect like a school of dolphins poking their heads out of the murky waters all at once so to speak... not too much luck yet. Mother nature isn't cooperating and tends to grow appendages at random lengths. LOL!
