K=1 and DFA 100 macro.

From the strawberry patch.

These are giving me trouble. I may have to go to manual focus to get what I want. Yesterday I tried Live View with poor results, today, slightly better with single focus point AF.s. Tomorrow Live View with focus confirm and MF.They are getting there. Hopefully tomorrow is better.

Good eyes and nose, that in itself is an accomplishment. The out of focus areas make a fuzzy dog look even fuzzier.

Yes, at close range f4 is plenty wide enough aperture... I made a mushy mess earlier in the day with this one at f2 ...

I've regularly struggled with LBA over the DFA 100mm f2.8 - those images are pretty fabulous Norm - not helping.

I resisted until my FA 50 macro fell in the water and had to be partially disassembled and blow dried for 3 days to dry it out. You can only resist WR for so long before something changes your mind if you spend as much time around water as I do.

You just have to love the dynamic range of the K1 cameras. Sometimes when I am in TaV mode I inadvertently spin dials and things and get photos like the first one. After playing with the image in Silkypix I got pretty good results. These are the mud pots at Artist Paint Pots in Yellowstone National Park. The camera is definitely more capable than I am. Big thank you to the Pentax designers, hardware engineers and software engineers for having my back and making a darn fine piece of equipment.

The river that runs through my town just culminated its anual spring flooding. This year was quite exceptional with flows over 2000 qubic meters per second. The images might have been in the microwave a bit too long. But I like them the way they came out.
If you are intrested in seeing how the river is during the summer. Follow this link "summer flow"

Playing with square format. Thought it worked for this one.
Yeah, really does, Chris, with the toes pointing to the corner of 1:1 instead of just an edge of 3:2!
