Why we cannot assign stars in ranking here?

5/5 stars for the third picture! With accolades to photographer. I'm curious - one shot or one from series?

Cheers!

Magnolia, Pixel Shift w/Tripod.

The Tripod, a new Sirui ET2204 Carbon w/K-20 ball head, is a recent anniversary gift from my amazing wife. (I knew I married her for all the right reasons! LOL )

This Sirui is not a USA model, had to come all the way from the orient on a slow boat. I sent her the email link as a hint and a bit of a joke, and I couldn't believe she got it!
Really like this tripod, and the ball head!

There are many, many great images in this thread, but this set is stunning.
I'm not sure I've ever had a nicer compliment, and not sure I deserve it, but THANK YOU!
You made my day.

Eric, superb shots, those ants looked like they were on my monitor screen, almost a 3d photo. And the last shot is simply fantastic, great detail on the bug & the flowers appear to be painted, really fine work mister tatorman.
Best Regards, Bob
Thank you so much Bobby for taking the time to say so.I know how busy you are this time of year.

I've been putting a little more effort lately to not just take snaps, and engage the noggin before the shutter. Doesn't always work, but I'm tryin'!

Thanks again!
Eric

The second one is interesting. Well balanced in my eyes. Excellent set-up. Similar to the three twisters from Twister movie or like the (in)famous Three Fates dancing .

Cheers!

You can turn them on and off, it's up to you as they're not on the focusing screen.

Well done on the tourist stalking BTW.

Tas
Thanks. I must look more into focusing screens. A quick look on focusingscreen.com and I saw a few that seemed to come with and without grids on them/af frames etc. If you get one without a grid on then even when you turn the option on in the camera nothing shows? I'll start a proper thread on this stuff once I do some more homework. I wish I lived closer so I could peep through your viewfinder!

Did you use ND filter for turning tourists in to fuzzy interesting objects?
Yep, ND filter and actually a pixel shifted shot, I think each frame about 20secs, RT for motion correction and then LR and Topaz for editing fun.

Nice, interesting location and choice to place the subject on/near. You need to do a steam-punk apocalyptic shoot here

Super(resolution) Sister;

If I have my bearings right this is me facing the first of the Three Sisters, being privy to only seeing one of the Sisters.
Shot was taken handheld in a bracketed HDR style compilied in a 'super resolution' way.
