*You may be wondering how there is motion blur on the back stems, but not the flower? How do you get 2 different backgrounds? Easy, I CHEATED!
It was windy, and I had grabbed the base of the subject flower with my left hand, moved it and held it steady (no easy task, one handing the K-1 w/DA*300, especially with it's minimum focus distance! heh heh )
As usual, top notch stuff....but I am wondering how long your arms are :-)

Once and future river, just give it time, although a stream course may be permanently abandoned.
Surely I don't need to identify the state, but the river is the Colorado. If you look very closely where the River disappears into a small canyon you might just barely be able to see what I think is the upstream-most bridge over the Colorado. It's a graceful structure.
Great perspective .

twilight with a macro

Great photos by everyone. Been a wee bit busy on the old farm again so now it is catchup & muster time for me...
Here are a couple of twilight shots taken with the old 645 A 120/4 macro. Not the most awesome sky but nice with the red color.
Best Regards, Bob

Pull down "My Account" (far upper right on this page)
Click on "Edit Options"
Go down to the group of options labeled "Thread Display Options"
go down to the last item in that list, about combining your sequentially posted items into one single post and de-activate that item.

BTW: I only discovered this a few days ago, and thanks to another Pentaxian for reminding me. I probably had activated the combine option when I first joined PF, but that must be at least a decade back. At this stage of my life, I struggle to remember what I had for dinner ten days back, and generally fail
Hi Walt
Thankyou I have just changed it.

K1 Mk2 has arrived, so with not a little trepidation I post the mandatory first shot in this august company.

Did a couple of test chart shots to check AF point, decided no adjustments were necessary. Good start.

Dusty my little mate who is never far from my side decided to photo bomb the shot, normally he avoids the camera. Lens is an old plastic fantastic SMC F 35-80....it will get some use.

And the sunset was kind. Lens is Sigma EX DG F1.8 which will probably be one of my go to lenses for wide.

Mallee Boy, I have met Dusty and he said in a email to my Milo that you went away for a few days. ( I'm guessing the Flinders) He said he missed you and he is scared you may have forgotten him now and wont let him inside where its warm. That's why he is staying close. Oh yes, he said he is hoping you will feed him some Barramundi for dinner.

Love those images like the first of the three. My kind of photography but sadly not everybody's.
True to life colours, good exposure, lots to look at, well framed, corrected WA falling lines and of course sharp.

Not every shot has to be “artistic” to be good and noteworthy.
Carry on like this, you have at least one admirer.

Cheers
