Man, I envy your back yard Adrian! Nice shots. I have friends with similar looking (not quite the same color layout) colorful Eclectus parrots kept as pets, but I think they are larger than those little guys. Amazing colors.
About the only colorful native thing here are the spoonbills, occasional flamingos... oh, we have lot's of wild conures and quakers, but I think those are pets people turned loose and have bred... and if you ever heard a conure, you'd know why people become less enthused about them and turn them loose! LOUD and not just at sunrise and sunset, cover on cage or not! We had a huge wild population of budgies when I first moved here, but I think a hard winter took them out, or the return of the predator bird population (Osprey & Eagles) which have made a huge comeback, had them for a snack. Maybe a combo of both.
